Jog for Johnny, a 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by the John Vascek, Jr. Memorial Foundation and managed by Marathon Sports Event Management, was established in memory of John Vascek, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Ostrum, Jr. and John Vascek, Sr., who was a 1986 Woodstown graduate and lifelong community resident.

Tragically, Johnny passed away in a motorcycle accident on October 26, 2004 at the young age of 36. ALL proceeds from this year's Jog for Johnny Finale will benefit Marlton Park's anticipated state-of-the-art playground built in memory of John Vascek, Jr.
